The assignment begins as a consultancy with great opportunities for employment at Saab.

Job Description

• Assembly of cables and cable harnesses according to drawings and specifications.
• Crimping, cable routing, and connecting cables.
• Soldering of cables and components.
• Quality control and functional testing of assembled cables.
• Troubleshooting and repair as needed.
• Collaborate with the production team to continuously improve the production process.

We are looking for someone who

Has a strong technical interest and a willingness to learn. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and used to working with high precision – qualities that are important when working with detailed components and electrical systems. Experience in cabling or similar assembly is an advantage but not a requirement, and if you have knowledge in reading drawings or schematics, it is a big plus.
We prefer that you have a practical inclination and enjoy understanding how things work in depth. Oplana also offers updated training for the assignment.

Requirements:

• Technical education or experience in assembly, or other relevant practical background.
• Swedish citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education or work experience according to IPC A-610 or IPC A-620 standards (assembly and inspection of electronics).
• Soldering certification, such as FSD 5115 or equivalent.
• Experience working with advanced electronic and mechanical constructions.
• Experience using administrative planning systems (MPS).
• Training in ESD (electrostatic discharge) or good knowledge of its impact and risks for electronics.

Working in the defense industry means that the position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification placement, there may be requirements for certain citizenship.
